I was born in Hollywood, CA and grew up in Los Angeles, CA until I was almost 12 years old.  After a brief stop in Raleigh, NC I moved to Arlington, VA in March of 1992.  I always had a strong interest for weather but a year later when the Superstorm of 1993 hit, my interest became a passion.  The pressure dropped to 28.53" at my house during the height of the storm!

I truly enjoy studying all types of weather from Nor'easters to tornadoes, but my favorite is hurricanes.  In my opinion, there is nothing that can compare to the power of a hurricane!!!  I've been very fortunate to have experienced some of the strongest hurricanes of my era and my ultimate goal is to chase 100 hurricanes before I die.

I love being a part of a great University like Mississippi State and an excellent department like ours!  I couldn't have asked for a better situation!  In my spare time I love to watch sports (Raiders, Lakers, UCLA, and the Dodgers).  I also love forecasting, historical weather, photography/videography, traveling to the Florida Keys, and of course storm chasing ALL types of weather any chance I get!!!

Storm Chases/Experiences:
Hurricanes:  Lili (Abbeville, LA), Isabel (Oriental, NC), Charley (Charlotte Harbor, FL), Frances (Fort Pierce, FL), Ivan (Spanish Fort, AL), Cindy (Pass Christian, MS), Dennis (Pensacola, FL), Katrina (Gulfport, MS), Rita (Orange, TX), Gustav (Lafayette, LA), and Ike (Galveston Island, TX)

Nor'easters:
1993 Superstorm (Arlington, VA), Blizzard of 1996 (Alexandria, VA), Presidents Day Storm II 2003(Alexandria, VA)

I also have well over a hundred severe storm chasing days under my belt as I've been
lucky enough to capture many tornadoes including a couple over a 1/2 mile
wide... Some of the more famous tornadoes include:

(Attica, KS)

(Albany, MO)
(Argonia, KS)
(Conway Springs, KS)
