For Earth Day 2019, the Dunn-Seiler Museum at Mississippi State University invites you to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the amount of waste material we generate, and INCREASE AWARENESS of endangered or extinct species from our state. Let’s help Mississippi maintain healthy ecosystems and save critical habitats.
We challenge Mississippi’s K-12 students to create a model of endangered or extinct species using repurposed, discarded items that might otherwise end up in a landfill. Grab that toilet paper roll before it gets in the garbage! That lid can’t be recycled, so why not wash it and use it in your model? Challenge yourself to create a good model without purchasing anything for the project!
