2020 Earth Day Competetion
We challenge Mississippi’s K-12 students to find an alternative, creative use for discarded cardboard. Grab that toilet paper roll before it gets thrown in the garbage, and retrieve those shipping
boxes before they are filled with trash and set out at the curb!
GUIDELINES:
1. Individual K-12 students or student groups can participate.
2. Construct an original, unique model from discarded, clean cardboard.
3. Your model should measure no larger than 1 cubic meter (1 m3) unless you receive prior permission for a size extension before submission.
Drop off your entries by 5pm, April 15, 2020 to the Department of Geosciences, 108 Hilbun Hall, Mississippi State University.
On Earth Day, winners will be announced for elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (7-12) individuals and/or groups. Winning entries will be displayed at the Dunn-Seiler Museum.
