Amy Moe-Hoffman received her Bachelor of Arts in Geology at Gustavus Adolphus College with a focus in Quaternary Geology and Glaciology. She later went on to get her Master of Science in Museum and Field Studies with a focus in Paleontology and Natural History Collections at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Amy’s research interests include the use of fossil insects to determine paleoclimate and paleo-environment, taphonomy, and the conservation and management of museum collections. She has been Collections Manager at both the Paleontological Research Institution in Ithaca, New York and the University of Colorado Natural History Museum in Boulder, Colorado.  Amy has been teaching Introductory Geology labs and lectures at Mississippi State since 2008. She is the Curator of the Dunn-Seiler Museum, the chair of the University Museum and Galleries Committee and the coordinator of many museum-related outreach activities including Science Night at the Museums held on Mississippi State's campus each February.
